Practice Clarinet with Intent and Joy

Jun 19, 2024

NICE TO MEET YOU!

I'm Jay Hassler

After graduating from the Manhattan School of Music with an MM in orchestral performance on the clarinet, I embarked on the long winding road of music as a profession. I have played on the world's biggest stages, from international concerto performances, Broadway Pits, Lincoln Center, Carnegie Hall, The White House, Radio City Music Hall, and everywhere in between.

When the world changed during the early days of the pandemic and the live performances stopped, I found my true passion; teaching clarinet to adult students.

READ MY STORY

"You are not only the best clarinet teacher I have ever had. You are the best teacher I have ever had."

- Dave B

"I played clarinet for years in my community band. Jay has helped me play things I never thought possible before and I have had a great time doing it."

- Mark F

"Jay has many insights on the clarinet both musically and technically.  Through his experience as a performer and teacher I have been able to add many new tools to my playing which helped me perform my first recital in 45 years at the age of 66."

- Gary W
